✏️Editing tools

Selecting, moving & deleting

Use the Edit tool to add, select, move, rotate, snap and delete houses and roads after generating.

The right-click menu

Right-click anywhere for a shortcut back to Edit, to reshape what you clicked, or to start any drawing tool.

Selecting several at once

Select a group of houses and objects with a box or Ctrl-click, then move, rotate, copy, duplicate, delete or lock them together.

Roads, paths & driveways

Draw and edit roads, shared drives, footpaths and driveways by hand, and bend any road with spline curve handles.

Highways compliance checks

Measure bend radii, visibility splays, junction spacing, turning spaces and widths against Durham, Manual for Streets or your own rule set — drawn straight on the plan, numbered in the exports.

Vehicle swept path & tracking

Drive a refuse truck, fire appliance, car or articulated HGV along any route — true tractrix swept-path analysis with UK drive-line conventions, opposing-lane reporting and animated playback in 2D and 3D.

Split road & fill with houses

Cut a road into two with the Split tool, and populate any road with fronting houses using Fill.

Plot numbers, house type marks & text labels

Number plots, mark each house with its type code, and add free text labels with fonts, leaders and auto-scaling from the Annotation menu.

The scale bar

Place a scale bar on the plan — chequered, ticked or plain, with an optional 1:n ratio.

The true north marker

Place a north point on the plan, pick an arrow, set its size and its exact bearing, or use your own CAD block or SVG.

Sketch views

Take copies of the sketch and style each one — paper, ink, shading, hand-drawn line, and colour and weight per category.

Measuring distances

Measure lengths on the 2D plan and X/Y/Z distances in the 3D model with the dimension tool.

Existing buildings & keep-outs

Place existing buildings and exclusion zones the generator must design around.

Fences, walls & panel runs

Draw boundary treatments as fences, masonry walls or repeated panel runs — each with its own style, materials, piers and coping.

Green areas, trees & woodland

Add public open space, grass, shrubs, hedges and individual or woodland trees that the layout designs around and renders in 3D.

Water bodies & SuDS

Draw attenuation basins, retention ponds and ornamental lakes with real depths and side slopes — and check the storage they provide against what your scheme actually needs.

The content library

Browse and place ready-made 3D objects — houses, cars, trees, street furniture and amenities — onto your scheme.
