Your first layout in five steps
You can go from nothing to a full estate layout in about a minute. Here is the shortest path.
1 · Find your site
Press 🔍 Find a site… at the top of the sidebar. Choose Load the map at a location and type a postcode or address — or choose Find development land to search England's brownfield registers for sites that are actually available. Either way the map centres on your site and the drawing is set to real-world scale automatically. See Finding your site.
2 · Draw the boundary
Click Draw site, then click around the edge of your site to place corners. Double-click to finish, or right-click and choose Finish site boundary — clicking the first corner again also closes it. Then click Place entrance and click the point on the boundary where the site meets the road.

3 · Generate
Open the Generate menu in the top bar and choose Site (🏘). Airship lays out roads, plots and parking across your site. See The Generate menu.

4 · Try alternatives
A cycle bar appears at the bottom. Use Try another for a fresh layout, the ◀ ▶ arrows to step through options, and drag the green / overlap sliders to tune the result live. See Trying alternatives & live sliders.
5 · View and export
Switch to 3D in the top bar to walk the scheme, or Sketch for a planning-style line drawing. When you are happy, open the Export sidebar section for PDF, DXF, Revit or a PNG image.
