The right-click menu

Right-click is the fastest route to most things. What it offers depends on what is under the cursor.

Anywhere

Whenever you are in some other tool, the first row is ✏️ Edit mode — a one-click way back to Edit without going to the palette.

On empty space

With nothing selected the menu carries an Add block that starts any of the drawing tools: road, shared drive, path, aisle, house, parking space and annotation. It is the same as picking the tool from the left palette, without crossing the screen.

On something you have drawn

Right-clicking an object offers what makes sense for it — reshaping a site boundary, a car-park area, a landscaped area, an existing building or a water body, opening the fence designer on a run, and deleting.

Double-click

Double-clicking any object takes you straight into Edit with that object selected, whatever tool you were in. If the double-click did not land on anything, you are put back in the tool you were using, so it costs nothing to try.
